Shark Tank India’s Namita Thapar has made her Cannes debut. The entrepreneur and reality show judge walked the Cannes Film Festival red carpet on Wednesday.
Namita wore a silk cyan gown with ruffled sleeves and a long train by Lebanese designer Elio Abou Fayssal. She completed her look by donning Helena Joy jewellery.

Talking about making her debut at Cannes, Namita told Brut, “Typically you associate Cannes with film stars or people from the movie industry. Getting entrepreneurs here shows that we can be multidimensional and we can do really well in business and ace it in fashion as well, in a way breaking some stereotype.”
She added, “I am wearing Elio Abou Fayssal and I love the colour because it is so different. It is a colour I have never worn before. I just hope I can manage this long train but I am having fun. Pray I don’t trip over it on the red carpet.”
Namita Thapar, who is a judge on Shark Tank India, received a lot of love for her Cannes debut. Her social media followers left encouraging comments on her post. Namita is in Cannes along with other social media influencers and digital content creators like Viraj Ghelani, RJ Karishma, Nancy Tyagi, Niharika, Ankush Bahuguna, Chef Sanjyot Keer, Shehzaan Khan and Aastha Shah. Prominent Bollywood celebrities at Cannes this year are Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kiara Advani, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
