After her intimate wedding with longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal, Sonakshi Sinha took to Instagram to thank her well-wishers for all the love they received. The Dabangg actor also shared some photos from her wedding reception photoshoot.

In the photos, Sonakshi is seen planting a kiss on Zaheer’s forehead. She captioned the post, “Whattttt a day!!!! The love, the laughter, the togetherness, the excitement, the warmth, the support from every one of our friends, families and teams… it was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they’ve always hoped, wished and prayed for ❤️ If this is not divine intervention… we dont know what is ✨ We are both truly blessed to have each other and so much love protecting us 🧿.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer opted for a civil marriage, which was organised on June 23 at her Bandra home. The couple shared the first pictures from their special day on Instagram. They hosted a party at the celeb-favorite restaurant Bastian in Mumbai later in the evening, with Bollywood’s who’s who in attendance, including Salman Khan, Vidya Balan with Siddharth Roy Kapur, Saira Banu, Tabu, Anil Kapoor, Kajol, Huma Qureshi, and others. Sonakshi was dressed in a red saree and sported sindoor, while Zaheer Iqbal wore a white kurta and pyjama for the event.

Earlier, rumors were rife about Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, not supporting her interfaith marriage. However, their presence at the wedding squashed all such rumors. When Sonakshi’s brother, Luv, was asked about his absence from the wedding, he refused to directly address the question, telling Hindustan Times, “Please give it a day or two. I’ll respond to your question then if I feel I can. Thank you for asking.”
