Actor Vicky Kaushal, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming comedy film Bad Newz, reacted to pregnancy rumours surrounding his wife, actor Katrina Kaif. On Friday, the makers of the film held a trailer launch event in Mumbai, which saw actors Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk in attendance, alongside Vicky, producer Karan Johar, and director Anand Tiwari. During the media interaction, Vicky was asked when the public can expect the ‘good news’ of him and Katrina welcoming their first child. Vicky smiled sheepishly, and said that they will announce the news at the right time.

At the trailer launch, when Vicky Kaushal was asked if the rumours were true, the actor said, “Abhi ke liye aap Bad newz enjoy kar lo, jo hum la rahe hain. Jab uska time aayega, we won’t be shying away from giving that news (For now, please enjoy Bad Newz. When the time is right, we won’t shy away from announcing the pregnancy news).”

Rumours around Katrina Kaif’s pregnancy have been doing the rounds online after a video of the couple from their London trip went viral. It was rumoured that the couple is all set to welcome their first baby in the city. The speculation didn’t die down when Katrina returned to Mumbai from their trip.

Bad Newz is a comedy film that deals with a rare scientific occurrence called heteropaternal superfecundation, through which a woman can be impregnated by multiple male partners. The film, a spiritual sequel to Good Newwz, will hit theatres on July 19. Katrina and Vicky tied the knot in a grand wedding ceremony in Rajasthan in 2021. He was last seen in the film Sam Bahadur, while Katrina last starred in Merry Christmas.
