Singer mashed up the The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology track with “Dress” during Surprise Songs portion
Over a year into the Eras Tour, Taylor Swift continues to find unperformed songs from her catalog to play for the first time, and at Friday’s gig in Amsterdam, it was “Imgonnagetyouback” that received its live debut during the Surprise Songs portion of the concert.
A night after reviving former Eras Tour staple “The Archer,” Swift delivered an acoustic rendition of The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology track. As is custom on this leg of the tour, “Imgonnagetyouback” was mashed up with another song, on this occasion Reputation’s “Dress,” which has only been played once previously on the Eras Tour back at a Los Angeles-area stadium show in August 2023.
For the second Surprise Songs performance, Swift combined another pair of seldom-played tracks, mashing up 1989’s “You Are in Love” with Evermore’s “Cowboy Like Me.”
With the debut of “Imgonnagetyouback,” now only two songs from 15-track The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology remain untouched onstage: “Cassandra” and “Robin.” Similarly, three songs from The Tortured Poets Department itself have not yet been played, “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can),” the Florence Welch-featuring “Florida!!!,” and “So Long, London,” which is presumably being saved for when the European leg of the Eras Tour wraps up at the city’s Wembley Stadium in August.
The Eras Tour continues in Amsterdam on Saturday, after which it’ll head off to Zurich, Milan, and a trio of German cities. The European leg itself will conclude on August 20, the last night of a return five-concert stand at Wembley Stadium; Swift previously played three shows at the venue in June. After a two-month break, the Eras Tour will then kick off its reported final North American leg on October 18 outside Miami.
