Harry Potter fans were delighted as Padma and Ron from the fantasy film series reunited after 20 years. Afshan Azad, who played Padma and Rupert Grint who played Ron, recently caught up at the London Olympia Exhibition Centre. Afshan shared a picture of their latest meeting and a throwback iconic Yule Ball scene in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Sharing a picture with Rupert, Afshan wrote, “Padma & Ron reunited after 20+ years. Oh how parenthood has changed us all 🥲⚡️.” Afshan humorously also referred to the infamous Yule Ball scene where Ron, despite inviting Padma, awkwardly refrained from dancing with her, as she wrote,” “ps He’s still not asked me to dance 🙄.”

Fans took to the comments section of Afshan’s post an poured in their love as they got nostalgic. One fan wrote, “Don’t you look… dashing,” another fan wrote, “This made me tear up- SO proud of who both of you have become and thank you for all the magic you gave us when we were kids. 💛✨,” yet another fan wrote, “Come on Weasley! Get to the dance floor!.”

Since Harry Potter films, both Afshan and Rupert have moved on in their lives. Afshan, known for her performances as Padma Patil in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009). She married Nabil Kazi in 2018 and has two children with him. They live in Worcester.

Rupert on the other hand rose to fame for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series. He was last seen in Knock at the Cabin (2023) and TV show Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities (2022). On the personal front, he and girlfriend Georgia Groome have been together since 2011. They have a daughter, Wednesday, born in May 2020.
