Chirag Paswan and Kangana Ranaut have had a long association with each other. The two have been friends since their 2011 film Miley Naa Miley Hum. Since both actors are now Members of Parliament, fans have been cheering for them every time they are seen in a video together. In a recent interview with ANI, Chirag Paswan talked about his bonding with the actress and called his venture in the film industry a “disaster”.
Talking about his film debut, Chirag Paswan told ANI, “It was a different time. I can’t say if it was difficult or easy. No one from my family has ever been to Bollywood. In a filmy way I can say, ‘Meri saat pushto ka film se koi naata nai raha’. I was the first generation who was trying to venture into it. But, very soon I realised that this is a disaster. Even before the country, I realised I am a disaster. I just came to know that I wasn’t made for this (acting).”
He added, “I have seen my father giving speeches, standing on the stage and talking impromptu and here they are giving me dialogues that’s written and I just have to say so much. They used to give a two-line dialogue to deliver and I used to speak for two pages and the makers used to be like, ‘you didn’t have to say so much’ and I have grown up seeing my dad speaking impromptu so I just assumed you can improvise dialogues and just say it. I used to do that but very soon I realised I can’t mug up dialogues and put on such heavy makeup.”
Calling his friendship with Kangana the only good thing about his acting venture, Chirag said, “Only good thing that happened to me after trying my luck in acting is that Kangana and I became really good friends. That’s one good thing we carried from that time. And I was really looking forward to meet Kangana in the parliament because the past three years, I was so busy in my own life that I had lost my connection with her.”

When asked if he is giving tips to Kangana for her political journey, Chirag quickly replied, “She doesn’t need any tips” and laughed. Talking about if his “good friend” Kangana can make any difference as a politician, Chirag replied, “One thing I know for sure is most of the time she is not politically correct, but that’s her USP. She knows when to talk what. There can be a debate on whether or not her statements are politically correct. But, that’s her USP and we all like her for this.”
Miley Naa Miley Hum was the only film of Chirag Paswan–the son of late politician Ram Vilas Paswan. The film went unnoticed after its release in 2011 and was considered a box office disaster. However, Kangana continued acting and went on to give hits like Tanu Weds Manu (2011), Krrish 3 (2013), and Queen (2013), among others. The actress-turned-politician will be next seen in the films Emergency, which is being directed by her.
