Sushmita Sen recently attended an award show and as the actor was leaving the venue, she was surrounded by fans who wanted to take selfies with her. In the midst of this, Sushmita’s ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl came to her rescue as he shielded her and helped her in getting out of there. He safely escorted her to the car and got in after her. This gesture of Rohman is being widely appreciated by netizens.
One of them wrote, “Respect for Rohman Shawl. Very protective guy”. Another comment read, “They look cute together.” The video was from Indian Telly Awards where Sushmita bagged an award. The actress could be seen wearing a shimmery all-black outfit. Meanwhile, Rohman dressed in a casual white shirt paired with black pants.
In another video, the actress can be seen lovingly looking at Rohman, who gets conscious and begins to blush.
Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl dated for many years before announcing their separation in 2021. Sushmita took to her Instagram handle to share the news and wrote, “We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over… the love remains!”
While Sushmita and Rohman were not seen together for a couple of years, the duo were spotted again in 2023. And since then, they have made many public appearances together. Rohman also shares a good bond with both of Sushmita’s daughters Renee and Alisah. It is yet to be known if the two are back together as both have stayed mum about it.
In a 2023 interview with Radio Mirchi, Rohman had opened up about his relationship with the actress and said, “We look good together. Doesn’t matter, we don’t live for people. You do your things, what people want to say, it’s up tp them. You don’t have to answer anybody. We can’t keep commenting on everything that people are saying.”
In an earlier interview with Rajeev Masand, Sushmita Sen had revealed that she met Rohman Shawl via Instagram. She said, “Rohman sent me a direct message on Instagram. I don’t check direct messages but I was going through it and accidently opened a DM which was sent to me by Rohman Shawl.” She then replied to the message. Rohman replied, “I’m jumping from one roof to another… I cannot believe you responded.” Eventually, they met over a coffee date and started their relationship.
Sushmita Sen was recently seen in the third season of Aarya, and the web series Taali.
