On the special occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a significant Hindu festival, Jigra actors Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina went live on Instagram, sharing their affection for each other and treating their fans to a heartwarming conversation.

During the chat, Vedang surprised Alia and their fans by singing a few lines of the song “Phoolon Ka Taron Ka…” from the Dev Anand and Zeenat Aman-starrer Hare Rama Hare Krishna. Playing his guitar, Vedang captivated Alia and the viewers with his performance. Alia, clearly touched by the sweet gesture, was all smiles as the Archies actor continued to sing.

After the song, Alia Bhatt applauded and Vedang Raina confessed that he had been very nervous while singing. Alia responded, “Clearly you do very well when nervous.” When Vedang asked Alia to sing, she playfully reminded him that she had done so many times before, emphasising that this day was all about him. However, Alia promised to sing with Vedang during the promotions for Jigra.

During a recent interview with GQ, Vedang Raina shared his experience working with Alia Bhatt, saying, “She’s the polar opposite of me as an actor, and honestly, it’s so confusing! Watching her, it’s clear she’s brilliant and makes a significant impact. I come in with extensive preparation, setting the mood with my playlist and sitting in a corner, immersing myself in the scene. Then, Alia arrives, and bam! She nails it in the first take, and I’m left amazed.”

He added, “She gets into character instantly, everything is sharp and precise. It’s a testament to her professionalism after spending years in the industry. I’ve learned so much from her—lessons that are hard to quantify but are absorbed subconsciously. It’s incredible how much you can gain from observing someone you admire.”

Festive offer

Helmed by Vasan Bala, Jigra also features Jason Shah and Aditya Nanda in key roles. Alia is also bankrolling the project under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions, along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
