Last time, when international singer Ed Sheeran visited India for his concert in Mumbai, he made a stop at Kapil Sharma’s show, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 1, where he appeared as a guest. Now, with Coldplay set to perform in Mumbai in January 2025, fans are wondering if the acclaimed band will also make an appearance on Kapil’s show. In a recent interaction, the show’s cast members, Archana Puran Singh and Kiku Sharda, shared their thoughts on the possibility of hosting Coldplay.
In an interview with News 18, Archana expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “Oh, I would love it if Coldplay would come on the show. It would be iconic. I am sure there will always be surprises that we will bring on our show. The Netflix team and our creative team is constantly working on what can be the next big thing that we can present on the show,” Archana said.
Kiku Sharda chimed in, noting that since the show is featured on Netflix, the OTT platform might assist in bringing the band on board. “If Netflix is with us, we can achieve anything,” he said.
Ed Sheeran made his appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show in May, delighting audiences with his humour and an impromptu performance of Raj Kapoor’s “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai”. The singer thoroughly enjoyed the comedic antics of Sunil Grover and Krushna Abhishek, and he even participated in Kapil Sharma’s signature gharelu humour.
The Great Indian Kapil Show has now been renewed for Season 2, with its first episode premiering on September 21. The episode featured the cast of the film Jigra, including lead stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina. Director Vasan Bala and producer Karan Johar also graced the episode with their presence.
