Actor Aamir Khan has reportedly purchased a new property in a posh area of Mumbai. According to a Zoom Entertainment report, the residential property is situated in Mumbai’s Bandra suburb, in the same complex where he already owns several residential units. According to registration documents accessed and analysed by SquareYards.com, the actor spent Rs 9.75 crore on the property. A Zoom report says that he paid stamp duty of Rs 58 lakh and registration fee of Rs 30,000 for the property.
Zoom reports that the deal was finalised on June 25. The property is situated in Pali Hill’s Bella Vista Apartments, where Aamir reportedly already owns nine out of 24 units. He also owns units in the neighbouring Marina Apartments building. Aamir’s two ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, also live in the same complex, which is reportedly slated for redevelopment. According to Zoom, the new property is spread across approximately 1,027 square feet.
Aamir also owns a farmhouse in Panchgani, and another apartment in Mumbai’s Carter Road, according to Housing.com. Additionally, he owns properties in Uttar Pradesh. The actor is known to be selective about his movies, but reportedly has lucrative back-end deals in place through which he earns a cut of the profits. Aamir has starred in some of Hindi cinema’s biggest films, among which is Dangal, which remains the highest-grossing Indian film of all time at the global box office.
He was last seen in the critical and commercial disappointment Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of the Hollywood hit Forrest Gump. After a brief sabbatical, the actor is set to return later this year with Sitaare Zameen Par, a sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par. Earlier in June, his elder son Junaid Khan made his acting debut with the Netflix film Maharaj.
