The Great Indian Kapil Show, streaming on Netflix has been receiving a mixed response from its viewers. The first season of the show, after shooting 13 episodes, wrapped up and Kapil and his team is expected to start shooting the next season soon.

However there are a few people who are also upset that some key members of the original cast of The Kapil Sharma Show which would air on TV are missing in action. Recently actor and comedian Ali Asgar opened up on not being a part of the Netflix show which is also missing other comedians like Sumona Chakravarti, Sudesh Lehari and Bharti Singh.

When asked if he would like to reunite with Kapil, Sunil and the team for the new show, he told Zoom, “Hopefully yes, why not,” and added, “we are all friends.”

About being a part of the comedy show in the past but not returning in the new show, Ali said, “I am thankful to God, and the audience for liking my work.” He added that he is also thankful to Kapil, he said, “Main Kapil ka bhi shukarguzar hoon ke main aise ek show ka hisaa raha, jisse abhi main nahi hoon phir bhi itna pyaar mujhe milta hai (I am also thankful to Kapil that I have been a part of such a show, I still get so much love for it even when I am not in it.). He then thanked the audience and added, “I don’t know about the future but right now I’m busy with my chat show Chaddi Buddy”.

Ali left The Kapil Sharma Show along with Sunil Grover in 2017 after the infamous tiff  between Kapil and Sunil. The fight resulted in Sunil not to returning to the show and it led to Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar also leaving the show. However Sunil reunited with Kapil for the Netflix show this year but Ali did not return.
