Alia Bhatt, who recently published her first book, “Ed Finds A Home”, after launching her clothing brand, production house, and working as an actor for over a decade, recently shared updates about her upcoming films Jigra, Love And War, and Jee Le Zaraa. Discussing about the delay in Jee Le Zaraa, the actor said while the entire team wants the film to hit the big screen soon, its canvas is quite large. Alia also opened up on collaborating with her husband Ranbir Kapoor for a feature film for the second time.
Talking about her film Jigra to Showsha, the actress said that she would first like to clarify that the film will be releasing on 11 October.
She said, “Jigra is releasing on the 11th of October. I had a wonderful time working with Vasant Bala and I have such fond memories of working with him. Post production is on for the film. I think he has got the perfect balance of cool and nostalgia; you will see so many Easter eggs in all his films and you will also see them in Jigra. Every time I worked on the set, I used to be like ‘what’s the Easter egg here?’ But he is got this beautiful old soul sort of quality and he is also so edgy and unpredictable. Just as a filmmaker, the way he writes, the way he thinks… I had a blast working with him. And Vedang… is just sublime. He is my brother in the film. I can’t say much about the relationship we share in the film but I can definitely say we had a very seamless, easygoing relationship working with rach other.”
In the same interview, Alia Bhatt talked about reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal after Brahmastra Part One: Shiva and Raazi, respectively. She said, “There are so many layers to look forward to that I am not sure which one to pick. I think, first and foremost the pleasure of working with Sanjay sir once again and the honour I would say because under his guidance and gears, you flourish is step number one. You can go anywhere with it just because of his attention to detail and his attention to you.”
She added, “I as an audience am so excited to see him and Ranbir collaborate together after so many years. I am like ‘Wow’. And then Vicky and I coming together again and then Ranbir and Vicky, they have created magic with Sanju. So it’s a lot of combinations, but of course, at the end of the day, the intention is to just keep your head down and work hard and not get the other excitement come in between, because the excitement with the film and the material is most important. And when you are on set, you just have to give your 110%.”
Alia Bhatt, who is also set to explore her action avatar with a spy thriller film under the YRF banner, was asked about the same. Hesitating to answer much, the actress said, “I think there is time and place for everything.”
Alia was also supposed to be part of the much-anticipated film Jee Le Zaraa, aso starring actors Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif. But, the film has been put on the backburner as of now with no update around the making of the film. Speaking about it, the Gangubai Kathiawadi star said, “I think the intention to make that film from everybody’s perspective is very strong because of the nature of the subject and the collaboration. Here’s a really strong team of collaborators coming together. The intention is to make it happen but like I said, sometimes there is time and place for everything and you have to wait for the right time to come together. But, I think the intention in everybody’s heart is to this film to hit the big screen. Someday or the other, we just need to figure out the timing.”
Alia, who was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, will be soon seen in Jigra.
