Arjun Rampal, who has appeared in films like Rock On and Om Shanti Om, recently spoke about people cheating on their partners and called it an “addiction.” Arjun was asked about casual sex and open relationships and the actor said that even though one does not realise it, there is a “huge energy exchange” when one is in a sexual relationship with another person. He stressed that being with one partner is the most important thing.
Talking to Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel, the actor said, “I love sex (laughs). I think sex is a very important part of your life but yes, I think being with one partner is even more important. When you are sharing a bed, sharing physicality, you don’t realise it there is a huge energy exchange, shift in what you are taking in from that person as well. It is going into your DNA somewhere.”
As the interviewer spoke about non-monogamous relationships and people cheating on their partners, Arjun said, “It’s an addiction, it’s a habit that people created for themselves. I know a lot of people who need another woman or whatever and they are in a very happy marriage, they call it happy marriage, I don’t know how, whatever it is, they say it’s just a fling, or nothing, but it’s not just nothing. It’s actually an addiction, it’s actually going to pull you down.”
Arjun said that despite the fact that this isn’t good for one’s life, they shouldn’t be hard on themselves. “I was a person who was very hard on myself. I wasted a lot of time just beating myself up.” He said instead of wasting time in thinking about those mistakes, one should make sure that they “don’t repeat those mistakes” and change themselves.
Arjun was previously married to Mehr Jesia. They share two daughters. He is now in a relationship with Gabriella Demetriades and they share two sons.
