Avatar, Avengers Endgame veteran Terry Notary working on Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana as action director | Bollywood News

Stunt coordinator, movement coach, and actor, Terry Notary, is working on director Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious Ramayana adaptation, starring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The news was revealed from the most unlikeliest of sources, a local man who happened to meet him on the streets and ask him who he is over a coconut. Notary said that he’s serving as an action director on Ramayana, and has been working on the movie for over a year.

A video of their interaction was shared on Instagram by the local man, named Kishori Khabiya Jain. In the video, Notary says that he is ‘working on Ramayana’ as an action director, and that he has been in India for a ‘year-and-a-half’. He also said that this is his ‘first time in India’ and described the country as ‘crazy but good’. “It never stops, it’s always going,” he said.

Notary has worked as a motion-capture performer on films such as Avatar, the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. He played a prominent role in the Palme d’Or-winning film The Square, and has also worked on the Hobbit trilogy, Kong: Skull Island, and The Lion King remake.

 

It has also been rumoured that the Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer will provide the score for the movie, which is supposedly being produced on a budget of over Rs 800 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film of all time. Ramayana will also star Sai Pallavi as Sita, and will supposedly feature Yash as Raavan. In a recent interview, casting director Mukesh Chhabra said that a major star has been set for the role of Hanuman, while a debutante from the world of TV will play Lakshman.
