Actress Dalljiet Kaur, who was earlier married to Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 contestant Shalin Bhanot, tied the knot to NRI businessman Nikhil Patel in 2023. After eight months of taking the plunge and moving to Kenya with her now estranged husband, the Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon star returned to India with her son Jaydon accusing Nikhil of infidelity. The two also announced their separation in June 2024 after which Dalljiet took legal action against Nikhil. Now once again the actress has filed an FIR against her ex-husband on grounds of cruelty and criminal breach of trust after she accused him of ill-treating her son from her first marriage and causing her mental trauma by refusing to return her jewellery.
After filing the FIR, Dalljiet took to her X handle to share a note of gratitude to police officials for their support. Her post read, “Thank you Jt Comm Of Police Anil Paraskar, DCP Krishnatkant Upadhyay, Senior Inspector Yogendra Pache & IO Sachin Shelke along with a lady constable for your efficiency. Thank you AGRIPADA PS for letting a woman know that she is safe in this country.”

On Friday, Dalljiet Kaur penned a long post on social media slamming Nikhil Patel. In the now-deleted post, Dalljiet had also written how her son Jaydon still calls Nikhil ‘papa’ and making him unlearn that will be difficult. This complaint was registered after Nikhil Patel was spotted at the Mumbai airport with his rumored girlfriend Safeena Nazar earlier this week. It was reported that Nikhil, who is settled in Kenya, brought his girlfriend to Mumbai intending to hurt Dalljiet. The former Bigg Boss contestant had even reposted her PR manager Ash Parmar’s post that accused Nikhil of marrying Dalljiet for fame.
In her post, Ash slammed Nikhil for coming to India over a year back to become famous by marrying Dalljiet. She wrote, ” Nikhil Patel, last time barely a bit over a year back you went to India to become famous by getting married to Dalljiet Kaur and now you are there after that with the new girl. Wow.” In her post, Ash further slammed Nikhil and revealed being an eyewitness to Nikhil’s troubling arrogance, narcissism, rudeness, and cold demeanor towards Dalljiet’s son. She wrote, “It was just one of many red flags that indicated his true character.”
Reportedly, when trouble erupted in Dalljiet and Nikhil’s marriage, he disowned the actress and her son in Kenya. In June, Dalljiet moved the Nairobi City court winning a stay order that prevented Nikhil from evicting her or Jaydon from their home in Kenya. Nikhil had also sent a legal notice to Dalljiet accusing her of harassment.
Dalljiet married Nikhil in a traditional ceremony in March 2023 and soon after she moved to Kenya. And in January 2024, she came back to India. Dalljiet married Shalin Bhanot in 2009, and the two welcomed son Jaydon in 2014. In 2015, Dalljiet had accused Shalin of domestic violence and the couple filed for a divorce. They later pared ways.
