Dalljiet Kaur marital woes with her Kenya-based husband, Nikhil Patel, have been in the public eye for two months now. The actor accused him of having an extramarital affair while announcing their separation on social media. In a recent development, Dalljiet has taken legal action against her estranged husband, leading to a Kenya court issuing a stay to prevent Patel from evicting Kaur and her child, Jaydon, from their home in Kenya.

According to court documents obtained by E Times, the court has restrained Patel and his employees from evicting Kaur and her son. It also states that they can’t throw out her personal belongings from their house in Kenya. In June, Patel issued a legal notice to Kaur with an ultimatum demanding that she move her belongings out of his house. However, the new stay order will prevent him from taking such action.

Earlier, Kaur had shared cryptic messages on Instagram, hinting that Patel had an extramarital affair. In her Instagram stories, Kaur asked her social media followers, “What’s your thought on extramarital affairs? Who is to be blamed?… The girl… The husband… The wife.” In another story, she wrote, “You are out on social media with her now every day shamelessly. Your wife and son came back in 10 months of the wedding. The entire family is humiliated. Some dignity for the kids would have been good. At least you should have left your wife a little dignity publicly as I was quiet about a lot of other things too.”

Dalljiet Kaur and Nikhil Patel tied the knot on March 18, 2023. The television actor was previously married to actor Shalin Bhanot, with whom she shares her son, Jaydon. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2015.
