Ryan Reynolds and Hug Jackman’s film Deadpool and Wolverine had fans already excited about the collaboration. And the excitement has now translated to impressive box office figures. After opening to a massive collection (Rs 21 crore) in India on Friday, early estimates for Deadpool and Wolverine suggest that the film has collected a whopping Rs 23.99 crore on Day 2, taking the film’s domestic collection to Rs 46.53 crore.
On Saturday, Deadpool and Wolverine’s English version collected Rs 14 crore, and the Hindi version raked in Rs 8.19 crore. The Tamil version’s collection was Rs 1.16 crore, while the Telugu version garnered Rs 0.64 crore on the second day.
The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman film is said to have the sixth biggest Hollywood opening in India. The movie is also witnessing great occupancy in the country. Despite an R-rating, the majority of footfall is emerging from night shows. On Saturday, the maximum occupancy for the film’s English shows was 41.94 per cent.
As per reports. Deadpool and Wolverine’s worldwide collection has also been massive. As per a Deadline report, the film is looking at an opening weekend collection of over 420 million dollars.
Deadpool and Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy. Other than Reynold and Jackman, the film also stars Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, and Morena Baccarin in important roles. Deadpool and Wolverine was reportedly released in 3000 screens across India.
