Deadpool and Wolverine box office collection day six: It’s been steady sailing for the R-rated Marvel blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine, which continued to put up a strong performance at the ticket windows in its first week of release. On Wednesday, the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-starrer netted Rs 5.5 cr in India, as per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.
After a good opening weekend, Deadpool and Wolverine maintained a steady pace at the box office, netting above Rs 5 cr for three days straight, taking its six-day total to Rs 84.5 cr. The film will now close its first week with collections of above Rs 88 cr, taking the sixth spot on the list of the top opening week performances of Hollywood films in India. Deadpool and Wolverine will hope for a second weekend jump, taking its collection over Rs 100 cr nett.

In the Indian context, the film has already crossed the lifetime collections of Bollywood releases such as Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which had folded at Rs 80 cr. Next up, Deadpool and Wolverine will cross the collections of Tabu, Kareena Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer Crew, which had ended its run at Rs 89 cr. With a strong hold in multiplexes, the film had majorly dented the collections of Bad Newz, which is limping at Rs 55 cr.
Deadpool and Wolverine has stormed the global box office, grossing $545.80 million (Rs 4,565 cr) in seven days since its international debut on July 24, making it the fastest movie of 2024 to reach the milestone, Sacnilk reported.
Deadpool and Wolverine has surpassed Kung Fu Panda 4, which had grossed $545.80 million, and will soon overtake Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire ($567.60 million), to emerge as the fourth-biggest grosser of 2024. It is projected to hit the $1 billion mark by next week, becoming the second film of 2024 to do so after Inside Out 2.
