YouTube content creator Payal Malik was seen on Bigg Boss OTT 3 along with her husband Armaan Malik and his second wife Kritika Malik. Unfortunately, Payal’s journey on the show has ended, and with that, she sat down for an exclusive conversation with Indianexpress.com. Though Payal might show the world she is okay with Armaan and Kritika’s marriage, deep down her heart still aches. During the conversation she opens up about being cheated by Armaan, cutting all ties with her family, and also lauds Ranvir Shorey‘s game on Bigg Boss OTT 3.

Previously, Armaan, Payal, and Kritika have justified their polygamous relationship. They have said that it has been a personal choice to live like that, but when asked about if Payal feels Armaan wronged her, she says, “Yes, I have been wronged by Armaanji, I left my house for him. I was dependent on him since 8 years, I was living with him, he was my everything. And then all of a sudden, someone else came into his life, so yes, injustice has been done to me. But I have said this before also, today and in the future, I am his first priority. Kritika comes after me, and she knows it, so do our family and subscribers.”

When asked about rumors about Armaan changing his religion for multiple marriages, Payal sets the record straight and says, “That is not true, he has not converted to Islam. He belongs to a Jatt family. He is not a Muslim.” Payal even confirmed that Armaan had a broken marriage before he met her.

Listening to Payal, we wondered what was it that made her stay in this marriage, even after betrayal. When we asked her, she said, “I chose to stay with him despite another marriage because I love him. Also, I am in this marriage for my son Chiku. I am happy living this way, its not like I am being forced to. No woman will tolerate her husband’s second marriage, money is secondary, if you are not happy in that relationship, nobody can keep you tied to it.”

“I am happy in this relationship, the good thing is in my life, a girl like Kritika came, who considers me first. She loves me more than Armaanji. My word is the final one for her, she never argues with me. I am the boss in my house, I call the shots. I am glad that Armaanji didn’t marry a girl who would fight,” Payal added.

She even shared, “I never wanted my husband to marry again. It impacted our relationship initially and we separated for a year. I took my son Chiku along, and I was on the verge of committing suicide. But then I saw that no friends or relatives would come to help, it was only him. So we met again, worked on the relationship, and now it is so good that even if God asks to separate, we won’t.”

Festive offer

Leaving her home behind is a regret Payal has, when asked if she ever got back in touch with them after marrying Armaan, she said, “Only the time I had separated from Armaan, I was in touch with my family over the phone. But when I returned to him, we broke ties again. I belong to the Gujjar community, and lived in a joint family, they are against intercaste marriage. To top that, his second marriage was not acceptable. So, I am not in touch with them.”

Coming to her journey on Bigg Boss OTT obviously Payal is not happy with her eviction. She says, “I had not imagined my journey to end so soon. I believe I have gotten lots of votes, I was not supposed to be evicted now. I showcased my real self on the show, I got a lot of love in the house. Just the nomination from Deepak and Naezy led to my exit.”

“Everyone in that house has planned a game, no one uses their brains. They are very measured in talking to one another fearing nominations, they are all playing very safe. Other than Armaanji, I feel Ranvir Shorey is playing the game well. I loved him as a person, we bonded so well, he promised to meet me outside too,” Payal added.

When asked, if she felt hurt when Armaan chose Kritika over her at the grand premiere, she explained, “No it didn’t hurt me because you guys see us as a team, but we played individually in the game, at the end of the day, we are one unit. Whoever wins, the trophy will come home only.

Now Payal aspires to be an actor. When asked her about her dreams, she said, “I never got a chance to fulfill my dreams, I wanted to become something in life. Now people know me, but I don’t want to be known only as one of Armaan Malik’s wife or his first wife. I have big dreams, I would love to act. If I get an opportunity on a show I would definitely act.”

We also asked Payal if she could go back and change something from her life, what would that be. “I would like to change the way my marriage happened. I didn’t want it to happen like that, I wanted my parents besides me when I got married. I would want to rewind that time,” she said.

Payal does wish to re-enter the game, as she says, “Abhi toh main ne khelna shuru bhi nahi kiya tha. (I hadn’t begun playing yet).”
