Actor Sudhanshu Pandey shocked many when he announced his departure from the hit show Anupamaa. Having aced his role as Vanraj Shah, Sudhanshu has left some big shoes to fill. Though many fans have been expressing sorrow over Sudhanshu’s exit from the show, there are also speculations that have emerged following his exit. One big rumor is that Sudhanshu chose to quit Anupamaa because the actor was offered a handsome fee to join Salman Khan-hosted show Bigg Boss 18 as a contestant.
Indianexpress.com contacted Sudhanshu to learn if he was offered the show and the actor clarified that these rumors are not true. Revealing how he aspires to host the show someday, Sudhanshu said, “It’s fake news about me joining Bigg Boss 18. In any case, that show is not meant for an actor like me. God willing, one day I will host it for sure, but won’t be there as a participant.”
In the past, actors who resigned from Anupamaa went on to participate in some popular reality shows. Paras Kalnawat took on Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa 10, while Kedar Aashish participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Earlier talking about his exit from Anupamaa, Sudhanshu had exclusively spoken to Indianexpress.com. He said, “All I would say is that when it is time for something, God gives you a signal. I have always believed that I am being given a signal. I felt it was time and I needed to move on. I was happy for four years, it was a great space to be in. I did a fantastic show, the show did fantastically well for everyone. It was a blessing all the way. I had my run for four years and I did my best. As an artiste one should recognise when it is time to move on and experiment with other things. As an actor, there is a lot more that is going to come in the near future.”
Sudhanshu Pandey was recently seen in the music video “Gori Again” with the Band Of Boys.
As for Bigg Boss 18, Digvijay Rathee, Stree 2 fame Sunil Kumar, Kundali Bhagya fame Dheeraj Dhoopar, Shaheer Sheikh and Nakuul Mehta have been reportedly approached for the show. Arjun Bijlani, Shoaib Ibrahim, and Rithvikk Dhanjani, meanwhile, have refused to participate in Bigg Boss 18.
