After collecting heaps of praise for his negative role in Karan Johar and Guneet Monga’s Kill, Raghav Juyal is back in the producers’ next production venture, Gyaarah Gyaarah. The makers unveiled the trailer of the web show on Wednesday, showcasing Raghav in the role of a cop alongside Kritika Kamra. The show also stars Gehraiyaan actor Dhairya Karwa in a pivotal role.
The trailer begins with a voiceover discussing the concept of time and its hidden mysteries. We then see police officer Yug Arya, played by Raghav, talking to his senior Vamika Rawat, played by Kritika Kamra, about a 15-year-old case involving a woman seeking justice for her daughter for over a decade. This leads to the reopening of old cases. The trailer takes an intriguing turn with the introduction of time travel, featuring a walkie-talkie through which Raghav can communicate with another cop Shaurya Attwal, played by Dhairya Karwa, from the 1990. Together, they work to solve the case. The walkie-talkie serves as the link between the present and the past, with current events seeming to connect with those of 1990.
The official synopsis of the show reads as, “Gyaarah Gyaarah, An anomaly connects 2 police officers across timelines through a walkie-talkie that comes alive at 11:11 pm every day. As the two help each other solve cases, the reality around them changes forever.”
Directed by Umesh Bisht, Gyaarah Gyaarah is co-written by Puja Banerjee and Sunjoy Shekhar. Umesh has earlier helmed projects like the critically acclaimed Pagglait and Hero. It is bankrolled by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Achin Jain. It will release on Zee 5 on August 9.
