Grand is the only way to describe the Ambani wedding, spread over months, with events taking place across the world and culminating in a four-day extravaganza that had everyone from Bollywood celebs, heads of state, politicians, industrialists, Kim and Khloe Kardashian and John Cena in attendance. The events took place at the Jio World Centre where the decor was breathtaking and was inspired by Kashi.
From an artificial canal and waterfall to 60 floral animal sculptures including monkeys, elephants, and tigers, where each one took over 100,000 Indian flowers to make — the venue was a sight to behold. While the wedding and ‘Aashirwad’ ceremony on Friday and Saturday was attended by 2,000 guests each, Sunday’s Mangal Utsav had almost 14,000 guests as per estimates.
On Monday, the Ambani family hosted a special dinner for Reliance employees and the paparazzi. During the dinner, the entire Ambani family came to the stage, with Nita Ambani introducing each member, including the newlyweds Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. However, while introducing her family members, she momentarily forgot the name of her daughter, Isha Ambani, which had everyone cracking up.
A video from the dinner showing Nita forgetting Isha’s name is now making the rounds on social media. The clip shows her introducing Anant and then pointing at Isha as she says, “Humare ghar ki beti (she pauses) Isha.” This had the Ambani family in splits. Take a look:

While social media has been inundated with videos of Bollywood celebrities posing and dancing at the Ambani wedding, another viral video now takes us to the food section of the wedding. The video by Curly Tales shows how an entire floor was dedicated to food at the Ambani family event. They served over 2,500 dishes featuring cuisines from different parts of the country and the world. There were food stalls from Punjab, Gujarat, Kashmir, Indonesia, and counters for Banaras Chat and Kashi Chaat Bhandar. The desserts were the highlight of the food menu, artistically created and served. Take a look:

Photographer Viral Bhayani also shared detailed videos showcasing the lavish decor at the Ambani wedding. One video reveals the intricate work done on the walls and an artificial canal created for Radhika’s grand entry. It also highlights the extravagant chandeliers and the larger-than-life structures crafted by over 6,000 artisans.
Another video showed the elaborate flower decorations at the wedding, featuring massive structures of tigers and elephants made entirely out of flowers.
The Ambanis kicked off the pre-wedding festivities in March by hosting over 1,200 guests for a three-day weekend in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Since then, they have organized multiple pre-wedding celebrations both in India and abroad. Anant and Radhika tied the knot on July 12, followed by receptions and a dinner party for Reliance employees and the paparazzi.
