Previously, there were rumours about a rift in the Sinha family but on Wednesday, Shatrughan shot down those rumours as he said that he would be attending the wedding of his only daughter. “I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I? Her happiness is my happiness and vice versa. She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding,” he told Zoom and added that Sonakshi and Zaheer “look very nice together.”

The rumours actually started when the veteran star told Times Now that he was “waiting to be informed” about his daughter’s wedding. He said, “All I can say is, aaj kal ke bachche consent nahin lete maa-baap ke, sirf inform karte hain (Nowadays, children don’t seek permission; they simply inform their parents).”
