Actor Nikitin Dheer, best known for his role as Thangabhali in Chennai Express, has made a name for himself playing antagonists in big films. Recently, the actor spoke to Siddharth Kannan about his journey in showbiz, where he opened up about having no work for a long time after Chennai Express. Nikitin also spoke about working in Jodhaa Akbar and how it wasn’t a great experience, he praised Sidharth Malhotra for being a thorough gentleman, but said that Tiger Shroff is the one who is destined for greatness.

Nikitin said that it is a big mistake to write him off after a string of flops, because he will be a big star. Praising Tiger, Nikitin said, “I feel Tiger is going to be a very big star, his ups and downs aside, he has a certain madness towards his work and that can never fail. He is superb. What Tiger Shroff can do himself, many people cannot do even with cables. He is the king of action, the kind of body he makes others do that with CGI. People troll him so much, but he always smiles, he is a human being and must be feeling bad, but I have never seen him say anything untoward to anybody.”

Nikitin further added, “Tiger is very hard-working, I know him even before he entered the films, and was gearing up for his debut. He always had something in him. Time keeps changing, but if you are dedicated, nothing can affect you.”

Speaking of changing times, he also cited the example of Pankaj Tripathi. Sharing how there was a time when Pankaj barely had dialogues in a project, to how things have changed for him now, Nikitin said, “When I was doing Dabangg 2, Pankaj Tripathi ji was there too. He barely had any lines. He showed me the trailer for Gangs of Wasseypur, and I told him it would take him places, but he didn’t believe me. See where he is. That same man who people didn’t turn around and look at, who didn’t get dialogues, today, people die to just hear him talk. When time changes it’s beautiful. He is still the same humble man, but his time has changed.”

Nikitin was last seen in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force. He is also said to star in the Kannada film Martin soon. Very recently, Nikitin was seen playing Raavan in Shreemad Ramayan. Tiger is coming off three big-budget flops — Heropanti 2, Ganapath, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
