Janhvi Kapoor has a deep spiritual connection with the sacred temple of Tirupati Balaji. In a recent conversation, the actor revealed that she has already visited Tirupati three times this year and plans to go again on her mother and late actor Sridevi’s birthday. Janhvi also spoke about how she has found refuge in her religion in the past few years.
Speaking to Curly Tales, she said, “In the past 5-6 years, I have become very spiritually inclined. I find refuge in my religion and my spirituality, and Lord Balaji specifically. Jab bulawa aata hai (I feel an inner calling) that tells me I need to visit Tirupati, climb the stairs, and seek the auspicious sight of the deity. I have already been to Tirupati three times this year, and I will go again on mom’s birthday.”
Janhvi’s fans got to know the extend of her devotion to Tirupati Balaji when her friend and social media influencer Orry shared a video of her climbing a portion of the temple’s stairs on her knees. She visited the temple on her birthday in March, accompanied by Orry and her rumored boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya.
In the video, Janhvi can be heard saying, “Everyone needs to climb Tirupati because it humbles you,” advising Orry to take one step at a time. “It is her (Janhvi’s) 50th trip to Tirupati, Shikhar’s ninth and my first trip. I am a virgin here,” Orry can be heard saying.
On the professional front, Janhvi’s latest film Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is currently running in theatres. The film has maintained a steady hold at the box office, grossing Rs 16.85 crore within three days of its release. She will next be seen in Ulajh and the Telugu film Devara: Part 1.
