Janhvi Kapoor never shies away from making a public appearance with her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya. A recent video from her film’s promotion mentioning her wedding has gone viral on social media.
In the video, a reporter is heard asking Janhvi, “Is it some wedding news (sic)?” to which the actor quickly reacted, “Are you mad?”, rubbishing her wedding rumours with Shikhar. Her hilarious reaction made everyone burst into laughter.
The couple was recently spotted attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s extravagant wedding, where Janhvi stole the show with her bejeweled gold lehenga. Shikhar, hooting for her as she posed for the cameras, made the Dhadak actor blush.
Recently, in an Instagram post shared by a paparazzo account, it was stated that Janhvi Kapoor would be tying the knot with Shikhar Pahariya in Tirupati temple. However, the Gunjan Saxena actor rubbished the speculations with a witty reply. Shutting down the rumours, the 27-year-old commented, “Kuch bhi (Whatever).” Several fans reacted with laughing face emoticons under Janhvi’s comment.
Janhvi Kapoor, who recently confirmed her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya while speaking to Mirchi Plus, said, “He (Shikhar Pahariya) has been in my life since I was 15-16. I think my dreams have always been his dreams, and his dreams have always been my dreams. We’ve been very close. We’ve been each other’s support system almost as if we’ve raised each other.” The actor also acknowledged her boyfriend and their relationship by flaunting her ‘Shiku’ necklace at the Maidaan screening, which caught everyone’s attention.
The actor hinted at dating Shikhar, whom she broke up with and later reunited with during Diwali 2022, on Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan season 8. When host Karan asked her to name three people on her speed dial list, Janhvi said, “Papa, Khushu, and Shikhuuu (referring to Shikhar).” The Bawaal actress also clarified, “Just because we are really good friends,” leaving everyone in splits.
