Ahead of the release of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a clip of the film’s actor Mallika Sherawat talking about facing harassment at the hands of a “hero” has surfaced online. Mallika didn’t take names but said that the incident happened while they were filming in Dubai for a “multi starrer” project, in which she was doing comedy.
In the clip, Mallika opened up about her horrifying experience while shooting for the film, which she said was a “superhit” and is loved by the audience.
“Let me tell you about an instance. I was shooting for a big film in Dubai, a multi-star cast film. It was a superhit movie, and people loved it. I played a comedic role in it. The hero of that film used to knock on my door at 12 am,” Mallika Sherawat told First India Filmy.
Mallika added that the knocks were so intense that at one point she feared the hero would “break down” the door and come inside her room, despite her clear no. The actor, she revealed, never worked with her again.
“Knock karta tha matlab darwaza mujhe ye lagta hai, tod dega yeh because he wanted to come inside my bedroom. And I was like, ‘No, it is not going to happen.’ Uske baad us hero ne kabhi mere saath kaam nahi kiya.’ (When I say ‘knock,’ I mean it felt like he would break the door down because he wanted to come inside my bedroom. And I was like, ‘No, it is not going to happen.’ After that, the hero never worked with me again),” she said.
Mallika Sherawat will be next seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri. The comedy film will be releasing in cinemas on October 11 and clash with Alia Bhatt led jail-break actioner Jigra.
