Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, who is the father of actor Shahid Kapoor, recently opened up about spoiling his son’s kids, Misha and Zain. Pankaj shared in a recent interview that he likes to spoil his grandchildren and said that he doesn’t have any rules for his grandkids when they are visiting his house.

In  a chat with News18 Showsha, Pankaj said that they like to call him ‘no-rule man’. “I think I spoil my grandchildren rotten. They call me baba. This one time, my grandson’s cousin was accompanying him to my house, and she asked him what she should call me. This little thing of mine, my grandson, told her to call me a ‘no-rule man’ (laughs),” he said.

Pankaj then explained, “The reason behind this is that I’ve always told my grandchildren that when they come to baba’s house, there are no rules for them, and they can do whatever they want. This is their thrill. Every time they’re in their baba’s house, they don’t need to ask me if they want to do something.”

While Pankaj is an active part of his grandkids’ life, he had “limited” interaction with Shahid during his growing up years. Shahid previously told Mid-day, “My father was not in Delhi, so I would probably see him once a year till I turned 10 and shifted to Bombay. By nature of distance, the interaction was limited. Once I moved to Bombay, I had more time in and around.. we found our groove.”

Festive offer

Pankaj and Shahid have worked together in films like Jersey and Mausam.
