Ranvir Shorey is emerging as one of the most loved contestants on Bigg Boss OTT 3. While his fun takes on issues leave contestants in splits, he is also forging strong bonds with others. One such equation he shares with Deepak Chaurasia and is often seen speaking his heart out to the journalist.
In a recent conversation, Ranvir opened up about his past relationship with actor-director Pooja Bhatt, calling it the biggest scandal of his life. Recalling the time when he was shooting for Lakshya in 2002, he received a call informing about his mother’s ill health. He said that they were shooting in Ladakh and I just couldn’t leave the set until it ended.
He added, “During the same time, I also encountered the biggest scandal of my life with another actress. As I was unable to cope, my brother asked me to come to the US with him for a while. I pursued a six-month acting course in the US and borrowed money from my brother. After returning from the US, I started shooting for The Great Indian Comedy Show in 2005.
“At that time, two of my long-shelved films were greenlit for release and hit theaters back-to-back within a week and my work was loved by audiences. After those films, I finally felt my life was steady as an actor and that I had arrived.”
For those who don’t know, Ranvir and Pooja had quite an ugly separation. Later, both went on to find new partners in life. In 2010, Ranvir Shorey married actress Konkona Sen Sharma, and the two welcomed son Haroon in 2011. The couple separated in 2015. Now, Ranvir and Konkona share their son’s custody.
Early on the show, Ranvir had shared how Haroon lives with him for a week and spends the next with his mother. Before Ranvir, Pooja Bhatt has also participated in the last season of Bigg Boss OTT. She was amongst the finalists last year.
