Actor Raveena Tandon has addressed the road rage incident she was involved in after a man had claimed that her driver hit his mother and the actor assaulted her in a drunken state. The Mumbai Police, however, said that Raveena’s car did not collide with anyone, and the actor was not drunk.

Taking to Instagram, Raveena posted a story thanking her well-wishers and said there was a great lesson she learnt from the incident: that it’s important to have a visual proof of one’s action.

According to a police official, CCTV footage from the vicinity of the Khar-based building, where the incident occurred, showed that women were in close proximity to the actor’s car but were not struck by it. “Thank you for the overwhelming love, belief and support! Moral of the story? Get dashcams and CCTVs now!” Raveena wrote on her Instagram story.

The video showed a group of locals accusing Raveena Tandon and her driver of assaulting three women. While no FIR was registered, a station diary entry had been made at the Khar police station.

Festive offer

“In a world where public scrutiny is relentless, it is essential to remember that women achievers are human too. Disparaging them solely for their fame is unfair and harmful. This increasing violence against women and children world over needs to be addressed urgently. It’s time we stand united against violence and hooliganism,” Raveena said.
