While fans wait to see Salman Khan on the big screen in his next film Sikander, the actor will star in Indo-Canadian singer, rapper AP Dhillon’s next song Old Money. The singer dropped the teaser of the song, featuring a glimpse of the Dabangg actor, on Tuesday. Though the song will also feature Sanjay Dutt, he wasn’t seen in its teaser.
The teaser shows AP Dhillon dreaming of people chanting his name. After being woken up by his friend, he rushes outside with a gun only to find Salman Khan waiting for him. “Where are you going?” Salman asks, to which Dhillon promises to return in half an hour. Salman warns him, “See to it that I don’t have to come there like the last time.” The title of the song then flashes on the screen.
Dhillon accompanied the teaser with a heartfelt note, expressing his disillusionment with the glitz and glamour of the music industry and his desire to return to basics and create something truly special. He wrote, “I started out as an artist hoping to inspire the next generation and leave a legacy that really impacts our culture and community. Streams, awards, sold-out shows, the headlines… along the way I learned that all of these things do nothing but inflate your ego and take away from what really matters… the music… the art! I got tired of doing things the simple way which is why I have been taking my time to create something truly special for all of you.”
Requesting his fans not to call this a comeback and thanking Salman and Sanjay for their support, he added, “With God’s blessings, I got 2 of the biggest icons our world has ever seen to support me in accomplishing this goal. Everything I have been working on is to prove to you that reality can really be greater than your dreams if you focus on what truly matters to you as a human being. I am working as hard as ever and and hope you like what is to come🤎 ‘Old Money’ out this Friday. DON’T CALL IT A COMEBACK!”
Earlier, Dhillon had announced the new song with a poster inspired by 80s and 90s Bollywood films, featuring him alongside Salman and Sanjay. He captioned it, “I know you didn’t see this one coming…” Sanjay Dutt, who has worked with Salman in films like Saajan and Chal Mere Bhai, commented, calling them “Brothers.”
On the professional front, Salman will next be seen in Sikandar, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss. Sanjay Dutt, meanwhile, has the multi-starrer Welcome to the Jungle in the pipeline.
