The Rohit Shetty-hosted stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 is about to get rolling next week in Romania. While contestants are gearing up to depart from Mumbai early on May 22, Bigg Boss 17 contestant Samarth Jurel, unfortunately, won’t be joining them. As per several media reports, Jurel has withdrawn from Khatron Ke Khiladi’s latest season due to medical reasons. It appears he has injured his knee and is unfit to perform stunts in his current condition.
Abhishek Kumar who is also a participant of the show, confirmed the same to Zoom. He was quoted saying that it was not right for Samarth to perform stunts in an injured state and that he might participate in the show next year. Abhishek had also mentioned that he was looking forward to bonding with Samarth on the show this time. With this, there are also speculations that while he may not come on board the show immediately, Jurel might join Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 later as a wild card contestant. Another rumour that appears to have gained traction with this news is that, now that Samarth has dropped out, Mannara Chopra might be approached to participate.
As of now, the confirmed contestants on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 are – Kedar Ashish Mehrotra, Gashmeer Mahajani, Sumona Chakravarti, Karan Veer Mehra, Niyati Fatnani, Aditi Sharma, Abhishek Kumar, Krishna Shroff, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Shilpa Shinde, Shalin Bhanot and Asim Riaz.
Samarth Jurel, who entered Bigg Boss 17 as Isha Malviya’s boyfriend, recently made headlines for his breakup with the Udaariyaan actress. Samarth even went on to call his ex-girlfriend Isha an opportunist and said that they have not been on talking terms for quite some time. However, Isha would reportedly cling onto him in front of the Paparazzi just to gain attention.
