Shah Rukh Khan, who has been synonymous with romantic roles all his career, turned to action in 2023 with films like Pathaan and Jawan. The 58-year-old actor made it his mission to work on his physique, and in a recent interview, his fitness trainer Prashant Sawant said that SRK did a lot of preparation during the pandemic.
Prashant has had a 20-year-long association with Shah Rukh, and in a chat with Pinkvilla, he recalled that the actor was injured when they first met. “We got a call from Shah Rukh sir after Asoka, when his foot was injured, so that’s where the journey started,” he said. Prashant said that SRK has the “right mindset” for working out, and the star has largely maintained this discipline for the last 20 years.
Talking about Shah Rukh’s work out sessions, Prashant said, “He is a sportsman, and he likes to sweat. He doesn’t enjoy working out if he doesn’t sweat. It could be anything, he could be playing or doing some exercise, sweating is important. And that helps with his body. We work out every day for 45 minutes and focus on one body part. We are consistent, we do it at least 4-5 days a week.”

Prashant said that Shah Rukh’s body has been through a lot of injuries and they work together on recovery. “We fight for the body to get repaired. We work as a team for his body because sometimes I need his mindset and his help to understand, so we work on his body together. We make strategies and in that process, he sometimes gets six packs and sometimes eight,” he shared.
Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Sujoy Ghosh’s King, alongside Suhana Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan.
