Stree 2, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is maintaining its strong hold at the box office even in its second week. After an impressive second Saturday, where the film saw a surge of over 88 percent and collected Rs 33.8 crore, Stree 2 continued its upward trajectory on its second Sunday, bringing in Rs 44 crore, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. This takes the film’s total domestic collection to Rs 386.15 crore.

According to data released by the makers on Sunday, Stree 2 has earned Rs 505 crore worldwide. The Amar Kaushik-directed film has now become the second highest-grossing film of 2024 within just 11 days of its release, surpassing big names like Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, which earned Rs 337.20 crore worldwide.

Stree 2’s second Sunday collection is comparable to Prabhas and Deepika Padukone’s blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, which minted Rs 44.35 crore on its second Sunday. Even last year’s highest-grossing film, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, had earned Rs 44.05 crore on its second Sunday. Stree 2 is now in close competition with Kalki 2898 AD to become the highest-grossing film of the year.

As of its 11th day of release, Kalki 2898 AD had earned Rs 510.05 crore net in India, while Stree 2 has accumulated Rs 386.15 crore in the same period. Kalki’s worldwide collection stands at Rs 1,041.65 crore.

On Sunday, Stree 2 recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 63.69 percent, with the highest occupancy, over 70 percent, seen during afternoon shows. With 1,244 shows, the film attracted the largest audience in the NCR region, where it achieved 72 percent occupancy. In Mumbai, Stree 2 had 1,150 shows with 61.75 percent occupancy. Bengaluru, despite having just 401 shows, saw an impressive 64.35 percent occupancy for the film.
