Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has become a blockbuster at the box office. While this version of the Stree franchise dealt with a folktale around a beheaded ghost, the actor who played this particular part has also been getting a lot of interest on social media. A Jammu-based police constable Sunil Kumar plays Sarkata in the film.

A report in Bollywood Hungama has revealed some interesting details about Sunil who is also known as ‘The Great Khali of Jammu’.

Interestingly, Sunil is even taller by 5 inches than wrestler Great Khali. His height is 7’6 and he is also into wrestling, with The Great Angaar as his ring name. As per some media reports, Sunil is a police constable and he got the job through the sports quota. Sunil had even tried to make it as a wrestler and participated in the WWE Tryouts in 2019. Though director Amar Kaushik revealed that Sarkata’s face was generated through CGI, it was placed on Sunil Kumar’s body. The Stree 2 director also told Bollywood Hungama, how Sunil was cast for the role, he shared, “The casting team found him. We wanted a man with such a height and he fit the bill. We used his body shots while the face of Sarkata was generated through CGI.”

Sunil plays the villain in the film. His character Sarkata is an evil spirit who abducts girls with a modern outlook. To fight him, Stree returns in the film. Stree 2 also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, in important roles. Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, and Tamannaah Bhatia have cameos in the film. Stree 2 released on Independence Day has earned  Rs 350 crores worldwide.
