Actor Vicky Kaushal’s dance performance in the song “Tauba Tauba” from his upcoming film Bad Newz has become a viral sensation, earning him widespread acclaim since its release on YouTube two weeks ago. Composed, written and sung by Karan Aujla, the song was choreographed by Bosco Martis and Caesar Gonsalves, together known as Bosco–Caesar. Recently, Bosco Martis opened up about collaborating with Vicky and the efforts he put into nailing the steps. Bosco also commented on the positive influence Katrina Kaif has had on Vicky.
When asked if Vicky learned the dance steps quickly, Bosco told Radio Nasha, “No… They had the song idea, and producer Karan Johar brought in Karan Aujla, who had never done Bollywood songs before. Vicky had just finished Chhava and was trying to get his look right. He was in London and we talked about getting an assistant to teach him there. But I wasn’t sure. I wanted to see that vibe and showcase that. So we waited. Once he returned, it took him about four days to rehearse the entire song, which has heavy choreography. But, hats off to him; he just nailed it.”

“(Even the hook step) didn’t take much time to shoot because he was so prepared. Maybe, even after returning home, he must have been (practising). I am sure Katrina must have corrected him,” he said, smiling, referring to what people call the “Katrinafication of Vicky.”
Bosco, who has worked with Katrina too in the past, described her as “a powerhouse.” “She’s full of energy. She’s so dedicated that she might just call you after you’ve gone to sleep saying, ‘Listen, my costume needs to be corrected because of this dance move…’ Since she’s so much in love with her work and how she is projected, she makes sure that she nails and ticks all departments, including her hair, costume, look, dancing, and even the camera angle,” he said.
“My fights with her have always been regarding camera angles because I like to shoot low. But she’s such a beautiful soul and has done it on her own; it’s deadly,” he said, adding that his favourite songs with her are “Khwab Dekhe Jhoote Moote” from Race and “Teri Ore” from Singh Is Kinng.
