Popular TV show Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah stirs up controversies every now and then. Once again the show is making headlines after reports emerged of producer Asit Kumarr Modi planning to take legal action against actress Palak Sindhwani, who replaced Nidhi Bhanushali as Sonu Bhide, for breaching the ‘exclusivity’ contract.
As per a Times Of India report, it was stated that Neela Telefilms was planning to issue a notice for the same to the young actress. However, Palak has denied the news.
As per the report, Palak is said to be taking up third-party endorsements, and making appearances without any prior written consent taken from the production house. She has also received warnings for this earlier, but now the makers are planning to act on this breach. Reacting to this news, Palak told TOI that she had not received any legal notice. The young actress also spoke about this with Moneycontrol.com. She said, “It’s a rumour, I haven’t breached any contract. Shooting for Taarak tomorrow, 7 am shift, and not received any legal notice.”
When asked if she spoke about the news with the producer, she said, “I informed him about the false news that’s been spreading since last night and told him it’s affecting my mental health while I’m shooting back-to-back for our show TMKOC’s Ganapati sequence. I requested him to look into this asap and clear the misunderstanding. I’m trying to find out. It’s stressful indeed but the truth will come out. I want to speak about this further, but first want to speak to the producer or his legal team. On Monday, they’ll meet me.”
Before Palak, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in the news for wrong reasons. Some of its actors like Gurucharan Singh and Sailesh Lodha had accused the producer of not clearing dues, while Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal had claimed to be ill-treated on sets.
