Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has added a new feather in his cap. On Saturday, SRK became the first Indian to receive the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera award at the Locarno Film Festival. The actor’s acceptance speech and dapper appearance were the talk of the town. However, a brief red-carpet moment has ignited a social media storm.
A video clip surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) showing Shah Rukh apparently “pushing” a person to clear space for a solo photo. Netizens quickly condemned the actor’s behaviour, labeling it as “arrogant” and “rude”. One tweet read, “He pushed that old man!!! Shame on you, Shah Rukh Khan,” while others accused him of arrogance and rudeness. Some fans said King Khan was in a fun mood and he didn’t seriously push the man in question.
After the video was widely shared on social media, fans rushed to the actor’s defence, claiming the man in question was a longtime friend and the interaction was playful.
“King (Shah Rukh) having fun times,” read a comment while another said, “Yes. That guy is his old friend.” A fan wrote, “That’s one of his old friends (Laughing emojis). Now try spreading negativity lol.” The debate continues to rage on social media.

Undeterred by the controversy, Shah Rukh’s charm was undeniable. His acceptance speech, filled with wit and warmth, left the audience spellbound. Dressed to impress in a sleek black ensemble, the actor was the epitome of style.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen next in the Sujoy Ghosh directorial King. The movie will also star SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan in a pivotal role.
