After the demise of Malaika Arora’s stepfather, Anil Mehta, actor Vijay Varma took a moment to request the paparazzi to ‘leave the grieving family alone’. The IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack actor took to his X account to post, “Pls leave the grieving family alone.. it’s not easy anyway for them. Thoda toh grace rakho media walon 🙏🏻.”

Malaika Arora’s stepfather, Anil Mehta, passed away on September 11. He died by alleged suicide. His cremation was held on September 12.

The tragic incident of Malaika’s dad Anil’s death is still being investigated by the police. An officer from Bandra police earlier addressed the media and shared, “Prima facie, it seems to be a case of suicide, but we are probing the incident from all angles. A process to file an accidental death report is on.”

Earlier, actor Varun Dhawan had slammed the paparazzi in a note shared on Instagram. Varun had written, “It is the most insensitive thing to point cameras in the face of people who are grieving. Please think about what you people are doing or what someone is going through when you do this. I understand it is work but sometimes another human might not be Okay with this #humanity.”

Anil Mehta reportedly fell from the sixth floor of his residence, the Ayesha Manor building, at around 9 am on September 11. Malaika was in Pune for an event and rushed back to Mumbai upon hearing the news.
