There is a special charm in the relationship between Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma and her husband, Indian international cricketer Virat Kohli, that makes all their gestures toward each other so heartwarming. Recently, after Team India’s historic T20 World Cup victory, Virat had taken to social media to attribute his success to his wife, winning everyone’s hearts. Immediately after the final against South Africa, which India won by seven runs, clinching the World Cup trophy, Virat was also seen video calling Anushka and his family back home from the Kensington Oval stadium in Bridgetown, Barbados, where the match was held.
Now, a new clip has surfaced online showing Virat Kohli video calling Anushka and sharing with her the gusty winds and turbulent sea waves in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl. In the video, Virat is seen standing in a hotel hallway, showing Anushka the heavy winds that are causing the nearby coconut trees to sway fiercely. The sea in front of him is also seen in turmoil.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday to share a photo of himself with Anushka, Virat wrote, “None of this would remotely be possible without you, my love. You keep me humble, grounded, and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it is mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
The team has been stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl since the final match last Saturday. On Tuesday, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla updated that Team India will be travelling from Barbados to Delhi on Wednesday evening. “Thank God team India is flying back from Barbados this evening to Delhi. Will be reaching tomorrow evening. They were stuck for three days there because of a massive hurricane,” Shukla posted on his X account (formerly Twitter).
