Karisma Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor brought a wave of nostalgia to the sets of India’s Best Dancer Season 4 as they recreated the iconic dance number “Le Gayi”. The duo’s performance, shared on Sony TV’s Instagram handle, was a treat for fans. The moment was extra special as Karisma, one of the judges on the show, reminisced about her first meeting with a young Shraddha during the shooting of a film with her father, Shakti Kapoor. Their heartwarming conversation led to a stunning dance performance together.

“I have to tell this about my darling Shraddha. Main inko itne se janti hoon. We were shooting in Ooty. Shraddha was dressed in a pink frock and a pink little bow and she was intently staring at me. She was curiously looking at the scene being shot. I told Shakti ji, Shradhha’s dad,, that ‘yeh jis shauk se shot ko dekh rahi hai ek din bahot badi heroine banegi (The curiosity with which she is looking at the shot, I am sure she will become a big heroine one day),” Karisma told co-judges Terence Lewis and Geeta Kapur.

Reacting to Karisma’s story of her childhood, Shraddha replied, “Main shot ko nahin, aapko dekh rahi thi (I wasn’t looking at the shot. I was looking at you). After sharing a heartfelt conversation, they grooved to “Le Gayi”.

Following their performance, Shradha Kapoor, who matched Karishma Kapoor’s steps on the iconic song, expressed, “Woh kehte hain na jo cheez woh shiddhat se, dil chhao jo puri ho jaati hai. Main bachchpan mein aayine se saamne inke gaanon pe itna naachi hoon. Mujhe nahin laga ki main film ki release ke liye bhi itni nervous hoon (They say that when you desire something with all your heart, it eventually comes true. I used to dance so much in front of the mirror to their songs when I was a child. I am not this nervous about my film’s release as I was while shaking a leg with Karisma).”

Shraddha and her co-star Rajkummar Rao were on the show to promote their upcoming film Stree 2. Ahead of its release on August 15,  the makers of the film dropped the promo of the film’s song “Khoobsurat,” featuring a cameo by Bhediya star Varun Dhawan. Apart from Shraddha and Rajkummar, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles.
