Salman Khan and his family are facing a challenging time after the tragic death of the actor’s close friend and politician, Baba Siddique, who was allegedly shot dead in Bandra by members of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. This is the same gang that allegedly fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence. In a recent interview, Salman’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, shared an update on the family’s well-being and their efforts to keep Salman safe.
In an interview with Zoom, Arbaaz expressed that the family is understandably worried. He said, “We are doing fine. I wouldn’t say that we are doing absolutely alright because there is a lot happening right now, in the family. Of course, everyone is worried,” he told Zoom.
Speaking about Salman Khan’s safety, Arbaaz spoke about the family’s collective efforts to protect him. “I wouldn’t say we are all okay right now but we are trying to do what we can do the best. We are ensuring that everybody, along with the government and the police, is making sure that things go the way they should, and, he’s (Salman) protected. Everyone is doing their best. We want to stay this way right no,” he added.
Salman looked visibly emotional at Baba Siddique’s funeral. The politician’s murder sent shockwaves through the film industry. Siddique was well-connected in Bollywood and known for hosting lavish Iftar parties. He also played a pivotal role in ending the five-year-long feud between Salman and Shah Rukh Khan at one of his famous Iftar gatherings. Baba Siddique’s last rites were performed with full state honors at Bada Qabrastan on October 13.
